Abstract :
One of the urgent problems in modern production systems is the search and selection of necessary information. For machine building, this problem is connected with formalizing cutting modes, which are usually grouped in so-called normative tables. Normative tables are a simplified form representing a mathematical model, with reference to mechanical engineering a model of machining process. Normative tables, on the one hand, allow avoiding bulky calculations in order to define required parameters of machining. On the other hand, normative tables substitute one value proceeding from the worst conditions of processing for the set of values of a resultant function in the certain range of initial data, thus receiving step values. As a result, the possibilities of machine building equipment are underused and the productivity of the machining process is appreciably reduced. This paper discusses the transformation of normative tables into databases and the requirements for the interface of a new ADE system.
