Abstract :
Highly shaped beam lens antennas were adopted on the ACTS SAMBA mobile broadband system trial platform to favor high transmission bit rates with moderate RF power requirement and moderate equalization effort. The description of the antenna system and its radiation characteristics are given together with the analysis of the implications of these antennas on the cell coverage and channel time dispersion
