Abstract :
This paper focuses on the multibeam combining techniques to enhance the capacity of CDMA systems. In multibeam combining systems, one sector area is covered by a 2-beam antenna. Signals are received by two beams and combined to yield a output. The combining weights are determined by the received levels of two beams. A comparison of the capacity between cellular CDMA systems with and without multibeam combining techniques is presented
