Abstract
Dawning MPI Loader, a software tool called DMLoader, is used to load DMPI tasks on dawning supercomputers (a cluster of SMP nodes). DMPI (dawning message passing interface) is derived from MPICH, while their difference is that DMPI tasks communicate by BCL (basic communication library) or GM over the Myrinet network, rather than TCP/IP over Ethernet. We present the design and implementation of DMLoader software, with emphasis on task management and system scalability issues. The results of performance evaluation are also given.
