Abstract :
In this paper power control and sector antennas are considered for an advanced form of inter-vehicle communication (IVC), called boomerang communication, which uses direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS). By the combined use of power control and sector antennas, an increase in reliability in the proposed system is shown by computer simulations. With increased reliability a decrease in vehicular accidents and more intelligent traffic flow can be expected
