Abstract :
Service discovery is a mechanism to find a specified service around service nodes (providers). In MANET, service discovery protocols should take mobility into consideration. Therefore, service discovery and MANET routing will cause significant overhead in terms of radio resource and battery life. In this paper, we propose a cross-layered service discovery protocol which considers both service discovery and routing simultaneously for MANET to reduce resource consumption and enhance performance.
