Abstract :
A method for converting the two lobe far field of the anti-phase mode of a coherent array with periodic gain and lateral margin control is presented. The method is based on laterally modulated, long grating period coupling mechanism between two modes of a planar waveguide that has two lateral reflecting mirrors.
