Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. The Elephanta Caves are a tourist attraction in the vicinity of Mumbai, the venue of the 17th International Conference on VLSI Design. The Elephanta Island is located about 10 km away from the Gateway of India. These caves house temples cut out of rock, and date back to the 5th century. The front cover shows the colossal 20-feet high image of the three-headed deity, called Trimurthy Sadashiva. The carving is considered a masterpiece of Indian art. Interestingly, in the Indian mythology, Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheswara are the gods of creation, preservation, and destruction.
