Abstract :
This paper presents a new receiver frontend for 13.56 MHz carrier frequency smart card transponders. The designed frontend is compatible with ISO14443 and ISO15693 standards, and can be easily adapted for other ISO standards. The included asynchronous ASK demodulator has high sensitivity compared with standard diode demodulators. Amplifier gain and common mode are adjustable using a configuration register.
