Abstract :
The stability regions for PPC (parallel predictor-corrector) type algorithms are studied. An analysis of the relationship between stability and accuracy shows that for the PECE mode, the order of the predictor does not have to be equal to that of the corrector as suggested in the development of sequential algorithms. The results suggest a different way to develop the numerical integration algorithm
