Abstract :
Demonstrator of the Full Polarization Interferometric Radiometer (FPIR) is a light weight high resolution imaging polarimeter at X-band. It is based on techniques of one dimensional aperture synthesis. Differing from ESTAR-like precedents on polarimetric mode, conical antenna beam and 2-point calibration, FPIR employs two interlaced arrays. They are orthogonally polarized, therefore enable polarimetric application. Main subsystems, including the antenna, receiver and digital correlator, are introduced. First brightness image of dual polarizations with FPIR demonstrator are presented and compared with the optical image.
