Abstract :
In general, software development process is modeled by discrete models or continuous models, but they are not enough to completely describe the behaviors of software process. According to the characteristic of software development process, it is a typical hybrid system which includes continuous factors and discrete factors. This paper introduces hybrid Petri nets into modeling for software development process. The main emphasis is on the construction of an adequate model for software development process in order to bring convenience to software project management. The example model reveals that the hybrid Petri nets model is promising for exactly describing the software development process.
