Abstract
Many high-power switching devices generate high-frequency noise when operating. This noise falls well into the power line carrier (PLC) frequency range. Thus it may have a degrading influence on the PLC signal integrity and reliability. Some measurements were undertaken to determine the extent of electromagnetic noise pollution in the PLC circuits; this paper contains a summary of some of the more important aspects to keep in mind when doing such measurements
