Abstract :
Many researches have shown that over 80 percent of the accidents in coal mines may be caused due to human unsafe behavior. One of the main contributing factors to unsafe behavior of miners was operation technique, i.e. their incorrect operation and peccancy, which resulted in accidents. This article proposed a practicable solution to how we can make the miners operate expertly and correctly and check their operation abilities. Virtools is a most newly interactive virtual platform. Through the development of interface of the intuition figure, developers can use the Virtools to construct the complex procedure of interaction application, which can simultaneously satisfy the needs of the non-procedure background designer and the high-level programmer. If it was combined with 3DSMAX modeling software, the simulation of miner´s safety behavior on the computer could be actualized. The research emphasized particularly on the application of virtual reality technology in the miners´ behavior and it was designed to realize the movement simulation of miners´ safety behavior by means of the Virtools technology. The system was proved that simulation effect was good, exploitation flow was fast, and it was easily mastered. It was also verified that it had the functions of controlling virtual behavior, and interaction form was various, which lively added a third dimension to miners and made miners be personally on the scene.
