Abstract
The basic helix-loop-helix(bHLH) proteins play important roles in the accumulation of anthocyanins in plants. In this study, one protein similar to Anthocyanin Regulatory B protein was analyzed using bioinformatics approaches, results showed Anthocyanin Regulatory B in rice was unstable and non-secretory protein, with 559 amino acid residues, the calculated molecular mass was 61.0 kD, theoretical isoelectric point was 5.1, it has higher similarities to MYC-bHLH proteins than MYB proteins, also contained a common conserved bHLH domain possessed by all of the MYC-bHLH transcription factors. This work is helpful for us to explore the function of this protein and accumulate anthocyanins in plants by biotechnology in the future.
