Abstract
Despite the fact that the TCP/IP reference model has been well established among the Internet community, its implementation exhibits some considerable drawbacks. This paper is meant to analyze the problem of coupling between the application layer and the network layer of the current implementation of TCP/IP reference model highlighting its drawbacks. To solve this problem, we propose a new addressing schema that is meant to function in the transport layer, which will act as an intermediary addressing in-between the mapping of domain name and network address.
