Molecular marker based on WRKY transcription factor was used to analyze polymorphism in 34 cultivated varieties of eggplant (Solarium melongena L.) with ten primers. The primers were designed based on conserved sequence regions of WRKY genes of tomato and pepper. A total of 1396 bands were successfully amplified by the 10 primer pairs, of these, 1328 bands (95.1%) were polymorphic, the ratios of polymorphism were 71% and 72% for primer GIIF-WSR1 and GIIF-WSR12, the ratio of polymorphism revealed by other 8 primer pairs was 100% The result showed that the molecular marker based on WRKY transcription factor is high polymorphic in eggplant.
