Abstract :
A component color TV signal called the TCM signal is proposed, and an algorithm of subsampling on the TCM signal is described. Results both from computer simulation and hardware display show that the picture quality of this method is satisfactory. A 3-D subsampling algorithm is proposed. The proposed approach is based on multidimensional spectrum analysis and human psychophysical perception. Computer simulations were run to verify the proposed algorithm
