Abstract :
The object of this article is to present two mathematical supports which allow a better knowledge of the target in a bistatic polarimetric radar configuration. These aids are firstly the nine bistatic target equations which link together the new sixteen bistatic target parameters, and secondly the bistatic polarisation fork which visualises the sixteen characteristic polarisation states of the target on the Poincare sphere
