Abstract :
Despite the potential of GSS, GSS has not diffused widely in organizations. The diffusion of technology can be explained by the technology transition model (TTM). TTM explains what causes a group of technology users to become self-sustaining. This paper uses TTM as a starting point and presents actionable items to increase the success of GSS diffusion. A case study at a Dutch Police Force is presented. Following TTM, the paper explores what actions were carried out by the police and how these actions influenced the frequency, the magnitude and the certainty with which users perceived net value from using the system. The findings suggest that TTM may be a useful model to identify actionable items an organization can execute to increase the success of GSS transition
