Abstract :
Urban economic development Capacity refers to the development strength and potential that a city reveals while taking advantage of its own resources and conditions to compete with the other cities in economic development. Being the central city of the economic zone in the southwest area of Shandong Province and linked up with Huaihai Economic zone, Jining plays an important role in setting up the economic connection between the south and the north part of China. By setting up the evaluation index system of the economic development capacity, collecting the relevant data of nine cities including Jining and adopting the principle of principal component analysis method to evaluate the economic development capacity of Jining city, this paper draws the conclusion that Jining possesses the strongest economic development capacity and the greatest potential for development.
