Abstract

Roadmaps serve as a useful graphical tool to integrate strategic objectives, technology-assessment, technology-roadmapping and product road mapping against an axis of time. Much research has been done related to linking specific technologies with the product roadmap. It is equally important to understand how the sourcing of this technology can be done. This leads to the discussion of competence development to meet the technology gap. The paper describes the alignment of this technology and competence with the overall roadmap.
