Core-shell structured fibers with poly (lactic-co glycolic acid) (PLGA)as shell and bovine serum albumin (BSA) containing poly(ethylene oxide )(PEO) as core were prepared by coaxial electrospinning. The morphological structure of the core shell ultrafine fibers was studied by means of scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy. The samples were examined by Fourier transform infrared to detect the presence of BSA in the nanofibers. Results suggested that PEO/PLGA core shell ultrafine fibers could be produced and used as bioactive molecules carrier for tissue regeneration.
