Abstract
In order to separate the valid ECG signals from the undesired artifacts, the neighboring coefficients thresholding scheme with a level dependent threshold estimator was employed in our study. The noisy ECG signals were obtained by adding three types of noise to the synthetic ECG signal and real ECG signals. Experimental results show that our method can effectively suppress the noise and is better than the hard thresholding method. Comparing the hard thresholding, the average SNR improvement of the results denoised by the neighboring coefficients scheme was increased by 0.767dB.
