Abstract
The authors deal with the thermal modeling of an induction motor of totally enclosed fan cooled “TEFC” design. Applications of nodal method and 2-D finite element method to calculate the temperature distribution within the considered machine are described. The obtained results are compared to temperature measurements performed on an induction motor
