  • Abstract
This paper reviews the effects of harmonics on voltage stability of power systems and how adjustable/speed drives affect these harmonics. It is shown that the total power consumed by the motor with adjustable speed drives is greater than the motor alone and therefore the system is more prone to voltage instability
