The database which creates multilingual web information on preventing infectious diseases

It is important to improve the knowledge of preventative measures among low-income people. A multimedia-assisted public health courseware would be far more cost-effective rather than providing systems to support high-income doctors. In order to give poor people educations on preventing infectious diseases intelligible narration and impressive representation are indispensable. We have realized this with multimedia technology in Internet environment, and we have developed a courseware on preventing infectious diseases. At this time this courseware is in English and Bengali languages. The presentation in many languages is very important, therefore, we have developed the database which creates web based information in various languages. In this paper the structure and functions of the database are discussed.
