  • Abstract
A 1Gbps-10 Gbps all digital phase interpolator(PI) that auto-calibrates itself for process and voltage variation is designed. The phase interpolator can tune itself to any desired target frequency and is a unified solution for memory subsystems and high speed serial links. A novel solution to track temperature drift is also introduced. The proposed Phase Interpolator is immune to process retargeting which reduces design time and effort and is easily portable across process technologies. The PI is designed in Intel´s latest digital process technology and gives a Differential Nonlinearity of 0.22 LSB at 10 Gbps PCIE frequencies while consuming only 2mW power.
