Abstract :
This paper proposed an electroosmotic (EO) pump-based novel type of fluidic system. This system consists of one EO pump, one flow sensor, two indirect pumping mechanisms, one fuel cell and two switching valves. By using the indirect pumping mechanisms, the problem of driving fluid circulation has been improved. In order to keep the continuous working, we proposed the mechanism using one fuel cell to solve the problem of gasses generated by the EO pump. The characteristic evaluations have been carried out. The experimental results illustrated that the proposed system can get outlet until 25 mul/min under the back pressure of 25 kPa.
