Abstract
GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) are of great interest for urban transportation systems, in particular for urban buses. In the ANGO project, positioning will be used for several applications such as delivering driving profile for the driver in order to enhance passenger comfort and reduce gas consumption. This paper focuses on the technical choice for localization. The wish is to provide a GNSS based positioning information. The reception conditions have been analyzed, in particular for GPS, which is the available constellation already in service. But a migration towards Galileo has been studied and the use of some other complementary sensors will also be mentioned.
