Abstract
Electric conductivity in high resistive materials is generally expressed by σ=σ0 exp(-U/kT). It is often pointed out that the activation energy U has a linear correlation with log σ0 in the form of log σ0=K0+K1U, which is know as the compensation law. However, the compensation law has not been discussed from the view point of the conduction mechanism. In this paper, the electric conduction for dielectric high polymer materials has been investigated. The compensation law has been observed in electric conductivity for all samples used. The influence of molecular structures, such as chemical bonds, polymer side chains and molecular geometry on the compensation law in conductivity has been investigated
