Abstract
Angular distributions of ion streams in a plasma of a steady-state vacuum arc with a titanium cathode have been investigated. It is shown that the ion current distribution is characterized by an essential angular nonuniformity. The plasma composition also depends on the angular coordinate and is appreciably determined by the shape of the cathode working surface and its integral temperature, as well as by ion interaction with the droplet phase of cathode erosion
