Abstract :
The measured equation of invariance (MEI) is first applied to analyze the scattering from arbitrary bodies of revolution. The coupled azimuthal potentials satisfying a system of coupled partial differential equations are used. The finite-difference equations for conformal meshes are deduced from the coupled partial differential equations. Formulae to measure the MEI on the truncation boundary are presented by consideration of the rotationally symmetric characteristic of the body. Numerical solutions are given to show the good agreement with the results available.
