Abstract :
This study aimed to investigate the effect of embedded AE(Adventure Education) course in physical education at Fat East University. The participants were 1418 first-year students at Far East University. 1418 surveys were distributed after two-week implementation of AE course. 1395 surveys were considered valid after 23 surveys were discarded for incompletion. This represented a 98% return rate. 923 male (66.2%), 472 female (33.8%). The collected data were conducted by frequency analysis on SPSS 12.0 software. The result findings are as follows: 1. Course objectives: around 70% students agreed that AE is helpful to promote the learning of cooperation (77%), team-decision making (72.4%), and trust-building (70.6%). Around 60% students agreed that AE is beneficial to promote the learning of expression and communication(59.1%), problem-solving (58.9%), and empathy (57.4%). 2. Effect of implementation: 52.2% students were satisfied with the arrangement of embedded AE in physical education, 51.5% were satisfied with the process of AE course, 50.6% were satisfied with this AE activity, 46.6% believed that the arrangement of AE course is helpful.
