Abstract :
This paper introduces a methodology for coordinated tuning of AVRs and PSSs based on the use of multiobjective genetic algorithms (GA). Two methods, based on small variations of the standard GA, are described. The basic difference between the methods is in the way they evaluate the fitness function of the multiobjective problem. Results obtained in test with a small power system indicated that the methodology is able to find solutions satisfying the design criteria
