Abstract :
The Alvey IPSE 2.5 project is concerned with providing support for software developers through executable process models. This position paper outlines the work conducted up to March 1989 to enable interactive definition and enactment of software process models. The work was undertaken by Praxis Systems for STL as part of the IPSE 2.5 project and resulted in: (a) an active process model of an organisation- mini-Praxis; (b) a mechanism whereby active process models can evolve and be customiSed; and (c) the integration and participation of people and existing software tools in the process model.
