Abstract :
Oscillating microstrip antennas fed by coplanar waveguide and using GaAs MESFETs have been designed and characterised at ~4 GHz. The association of these active antennas has permitted us to obtain steerable arrays by tuning the DC bias voltages of the oscillators. The use of a PIN diode switch is presented as a mean to extend the phase control of the radiated signal to 360° and to obtain wide beam scanning
