Abstract :
We have studied the magneto-optical and optical spectra of Gd3Ga5O12:Eu3+ and Eu3Ga5O12 garnets. Analysis of the optical transitions between Stark levels of the 7FJ (J = 0,1,2,..6) and 5D0,1,2 multiplets has been performed, which included the consideration of the quasi-doublet electronic states of Eu3+ ion in garnet structure.
