Abstract
A new algorithm is presented for improved performance of the time domain finite difference technique at low frequencies. The condition is less sensitive than commonly used boundary conditions to the location of the problem space boundary with respect to a conducting object. The new boundary condition has been applied to the case of quasi-magnetostatic coupling of lightning currents to the interior of metallic structures
