The polysaccharides (DPAs) isolated from Dicrateria sp. were separated and purified The antitumor and immunomodulatory activities of polysaccharides were evaluated by the S180-tumor-bearing mouse model in vivo and peritoneal macrophage and spleen lymphocyte activation in vitro. The results showed that different doses of DAPs significantly inhibited the growth of implanted S180 tumor and stimulated the proliferation of mouse spleen lymphocytes. The tumor inhibition index at high was 51.35%. The different molecular weight polysaccharides (DAP-1 and DAP-2) all showed obviously immunostimulatory effect. The specific manifestation showed that the polysaccharides promoted the NO release in mouse peritoneal macrophages, increased neutral red uptake in mouse peritoneal macrophages, and stimulated the proliferation of spleen lymphocyte by peritoneal macrophages.
