  • Abstract
According to the research of the image focusing model based on Power Spectrum, this paper puts forward the implementation of an auto-focusing system based on FPGA, mainly including image preprocessing, definition evaluation and focusing control. Considering the computational complexity of the auto-focusing algorithms, a series of methods are used. That is, the image preprocessing method of combining the median filter and the gray value linear transformation, the pipelining work, the “Ping-Pong” operation, the double butterfly processor multiplex, the FFT algorithm of base 2 and so on. The research shows that utilizing the FPGA´s powerful ability of parallel and high speed data processing can make the implementation of image focusing arithmetic become the speed bottleneck of the complex control system no longer.
