Abstract
An effective implementation of EIA-632 (“Processes for Engineering a System”) cannot rely on just sending the product team through an accelerated process course and claiming compliance. Implementation begins with senior management conviction that the enterprise needs an integrated infrastructure to provide the overall guidance and support to projects, and that projects adopt viable process requirements necessary to meet their customer´s needs and expectations within this infrastructure. These, then become the ingrained and inherent resources to be used by the project team in developing products that meet stakeholder needs and expectations the first time around!
