Abstract
The authors introduce an algorithm, LEARN, which is used for the purpose of inductive learning from examples. The algorithm LEARN was tested against the ID3 algorithm. LEARN generated less rules for the same set of examples than the ID3 algorithm. Also, the average number of attributes involved in rules generated by LEARN were less than the average number of attributes involved in rules generated by ID3
