Abstract :
Quality of work life (QWL) is an important integral part of quality of life. It has become critical at todaypsilas human resources management. Some analysis on quality of working life is made from the perspective of product utility. Based on the different degree of observability of the behaviours of consumption, QWL is categorized into five kinds of experienced items. It highlights the two variables affecting the utility level of experienced items, which are satisfaction level and expected utility level. It also analyzes how the treadmill effect affects the two variables and the different experienced items. The hedonic adaptation can impact on the satisfaction level for experienced item, and social comparison impact on the expected utility level. The more observable the experienced item is, the more significant it shows impact from the treadmill effect and vice versa.
