Abstract :
A novel ultrasonic method that takes into account the difference between the velocity of sound and that of electromagnetic waves in computing the propagation path of ultrasonic waves has been developed to permit more accurate calculation of vehicle velocity. The proposed calculation method makes possible more accurate measurement of vehicle ground velocity. The method has been successfully employed in a highly precise velocity sensor
