Abstract :
The main species of charge carriers in amorphous and biaxial stretched polyethylene naphthalate dicarboxylate (PEN) films have been identified. The sign transition of main species and shallowing of trap levels after γ-irradiation have been observed. The sign transition point has been detected in the biaxial stretched PEN γ-irradiated. Irradiation effect on the structure of molecular chains and supramolecular structure of polymer electret causes the change of distribution of trap levels within the energy gap, from which the shift of sub-Fermi level results
