Abstract :
A multiuser transmitted-reference (MTR) ultra wideband (UWB) transceiver is recently proposed to not only increase the data transmission rate, but also enable multiple access effectively. Both features are realized by incorporating frame-rate pseudo-random sequences. This paper further studies detection performance of the MTR receiver when timing is acquired with some random errors from clock synchronization, delay estimation, etc. A timing acquisition scheme is also proposed, by peak-picking the power of the aggregated template estimate
