Abstract :
We report on the performances of the detected signal current during in-service insulation diagnosis of water tree deteriorated XLPE cables as a function of the behavior on applying a test voltage. The test voltage used was a commercial frequency- AC voltage. One of the specimens used had sufficient water in the water tree deterioration, another had no water in the deterioration
