Abstract :
The operation of Dafvi, a dataflow-based machine vision system capable of handling efficiently all levels of a general vision task is discussed. Salient features of Dafvi are high speed, since parallelism is exploited at various levels, low cost, as the interconnection network is simply a bus, and high programmability, since the user does not have to take care of tasks like parallelism detection, scheduling, and synchronization
