Abstract
A window-time-space flow control (WTFC) end to end flow control algorithm is developed on the basis of the window-time (WT) plane. It enables the transmitter to estimate its optimal packet sending rate and window, under the condition that the total network capacity is known. In this paper, WTFC implementation algorithms are presented. The connection startup algorithm assures appropriate channel usage at the beginning of the data flow, the window correction algorithm provides window approximation in the case of combined window and rate control, while the path capacity correction algorithm is used to recover from the inaccurate total path capacity estimation. Simulation measurement results are presented and analyzed
